Eli Meisner began playing the guitar at the age of twelve in his hometown of Seattle, Washington. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Louis Armstrong Award as well as winning the award for Outstanding Guitar Soloist at the acclaimed Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival in New York City. In 2013, Eli graduated from New York University with a jazz studies degree where he studied with many of the leading figures in jazz guitar. Upon his return to Seattle in 2014, Eli quickly gained a reputation as one of the city's first call jazz guitarists and also developed a passion for teaching the instrument he loves. As a teacher, he enjoys imparting his affinity for the guitar as well as the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of students from different backgrounds. In 2023, Eli moved to Kansas City where he is continuing his teaching work and participating as an active member in the region's jazz scene. Eli has openings available immediately on Saturdays!
