Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Natalie holds Bachelor of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry degrees from Washington State University and is currently finishing a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at UMKC. She studies with Dr. Jeffrey Savage. Natalie has a passion for sharing stories through music, whether that is through her own performances and lecture recitals, or through teaching and inspiring others to express themselves through the music they make. One of her biggest interests is advocacy and making arts education accessible to underprivileged populations. Over the past year she has been teaching private lessons and group music classes to refugee children and youth in KCK as part of the New Change 4 Youth program. She started teaching when she was in high school and loves working with students of all ages. Classical music, church music, and improvisation are her main areas of experience, but she is open to helping students explore their musical interests wherever those may lie.
