Ross began playing guitar at 15, and began teaching guitar at 20 years old. He was guided as a beginner guitarist by his first teacher Shawn O’Trimble, and then proceeded to study jazz guitar & music theory with Kansas City jazz guitarist Brian Baggett. During this time he also studied music (voice and guitar) at Washburn University and was the guitarist in their Jazz Ensemble I. After his stint in university, he formed the first of many bands based around his original music (This Evil, No Cave, Wild Eye). Throughout his career he has written, recorded, and produced songs mostly from his home recording studio. Ross also stays busy with guitarist-for-hire gigs as a session musician or in various cover bands. Lastly, he has logged many hours as a recording and mixing engineer for area bands & songwriters. He has experience teaching guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting, recording, and mixing.
